Ben turned 27 on the tenth. I made 3 batches of his favorite cookies instead of a cake: Mint chocolate. Easy to make, tasty to eat. We also had his favorite ice cream, mint chocolate chip. (See the theme here? I know I do. :P) I did not really do anything special. I feel horrible about that (and the fact that I had to ask him what we did exactly, because I have already forgotten. Oops.) We went shopping several places for presents. I do not buy him presents beforehand because he is hard to shop for. I am never really sure if he will like what I pick out. Anyway, he was happy with the little that we did. I want him to know that I love him and I am grateful for all that he has done for our family, and for me. I love you, Ben. Happy Birthday!
I see signs everyday that I am getting older. My oldest is 7 years old. Wow time flies. I realized that I have not posted anything about that. I don't have pictures of Jordan's birthday to post yet. Her birthday was last Monday. We were sick, so other than our family of five, we did not really celebrate. She opened her presents from us after Ben got home. I fixed up her own room. She also got a barbie and a stuffed cat that she had been asking for. She also received a gift basket filled with chips, candy and soda from Grandma McInnis (which she loved). I made chicken tenders for dinner (only the girls had them. Ben and I had spicy fries). We had orange cake and mint chocolate chip ice cream afterward (I know that doesn't go together but it is what she wanted). Later on, I took her shopping for her gift from Grandpa Lauritzen (she had a gift card). She bought another barbie, some play food (so she can go grocery shopping too), and some noise making putty and a necklace that has flashing lights. She enjoys them a lot, too. I want to say that despite being sick, she had a good birthday. I certainly hope so. I love you, too, Jordan. Happy Birthday to you.
I also want to say Happy Birthday to other special people: Happy Birthday, Ivy (Sept 1st), Lucas (Sept. 5), Layla (Sept 19), Brianna (Sept 24), and Grandpa Lauritzen (Sept 25)! I hope all of you had wonderful birthdays! We love you!

So what are the chances of two of my children losing a tooth on the same day, within 30 minutes of each other? Not high, if you had asked me two days ago. But sure enough, Alex lost her first tooth yesterday. Within 15-30 minutes, Jordan came in to tell me that she had lost one too. Shortly after, Alex came to me again having her SECOND tooth just barely holding on. That's right she lost TWO teeth yesterday. Crazy? I think so. What is even more interesting is that she has two more loose teeth. Well, the pictures attached are not the best, but it is what I had. I can not get my cameras pictures on my computer with out Ben uploading them onto his and then transferring them to mine. He is so busy most of the time, that I did not want to have him worry about it. These pictures are from my phone... (And no, I did not make my bed yesterday. I am that bad about it...) Anyway, I do not know if you can tell, but in the first picture of Alex, her top left tooth is super loose and sticking out and a little to the right. It was just as loose as her other tooth. Amazingly, Ben and I had no idea that her teeth were that loose. She would say, "I'm going to lose a tooth soon!" and we would shake our heads like, yeah sure...someday. She has wanted to lose a tooth since Jordan lost her first tooth, and acted like they were loose since then. We never really paid much mind to it until yesterday. Maybe we will learn to listen? Hmm, now there is an idea.
